Could you describe where this hole is a little better?  The waterpump has a
hole under the pulley area where it is supposed to leak if the bearing in the
pump goes bad.  It could be that this is your leak and that you just need a
new pump (I have new VW ones for $40 for list members).  Let me know if I can
