If you're using AOL 6.0, html is all you get.  You'll have to get an
earlier copy of AOL's s/w or use a different e-mail client if
possible. (Yep... just looked at your full e-mail header...  You got
AOL 6.0)

You might try signing on to one of the 'free' web based mail providers
like excite or hotmail. I believe that you still have choice there.
