My batteries are not hooked together, one works with the engine and alternator, the other one works for the sink, lights, fridge, etc, and it charges from an external source (plug) thru a charger that fits under the rear seat. Javier Zavala 84 1,9L German Westy 01 Prospector Hovercraft
