Subject:Re: dont pusy our trip meter while driving!

Hi All,

I understand the logic behind this issue however, I have been pushing my
trip meter while the van has been moving *not continuously* for the last 11
years/249,000 miles and it has never broken... what gives?

IDEA!

Get a decal made (doesn't cost much), white on clear plastic.

                 DO NOT PUSH RESET
               WHILE VEHICLE MOVING
             OR ODOMETER WILL BREAK

I suggest 7-point font is too big & bulky. 4, 5 or 6 probably best.

Put a rounded square (or oval) around the text, offset upward or downward
if you like so that outline includes base of odo reset knob (remove knob to
place decal), puncture decal and replace knob).

Decal text and outline should be dense white for contrast; should be
printed on STICKY side so as not to suffer rub-off during cleaning.

Ought to look professional. You can do this for other items around the van
too!
