Greetings everyone!!!

I have a 1981 Vanagon. Just completed a tune up on the rig, and I need to time it. I need to find out if anyone can give me timing information. Such as, dwell of the points, timing info (*BTDC/*ATDC), and any other useful information. I also really need to know where I need to shoot the timing light at. Now, on my old bug, it was really easy. But, with shroud and crap in the way, I don't know what I aim the timing light at. Help please? Also, what is the recommended idle speed, what to disconnect/plug when I time it? I don't have a owners manual, or a service manual yet, so I'd like as much info as I can get. Thanks a million!!!

Patrick Harris

Longview, Washington

1981 Vanagon

1978 Rabbit C Diesel

Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
