Oh and I made up a little EXCEL spreadsheet to calculate the various speed in gear for the different transmissions using the standard Continental 185/14 reinforced tires that were OEM on the 85 van...and I'm KEEPING the 5 speed in the 83 diesel!!! I maybe can send that to anyone who has EXCEL and wants to save 5 minutes it takes to do one themselves. steve... "Hey! nice Jeep, Mister!" "Look kid, it's NOTAJEEP"
