Attached is a file I compiled from a search of the archives about the
bucking syndrome.  It includes very complete instructions from Marshall
Ruskin and others about how to clean the AFM as well as information
on the 'capacitor fix' alternative to VW's wiring harness for the AFM.

This should explain it all.
