Hi ...I'm trying to remove the dash mounted heater control switch from my
parts vanagon bus & it does not seem to want to budge - does anyone hace any
clues on how to do this as I don't want to force it and bust it  If I pull
off the green plastic top, there is a bulb & socket bleow alll mounted in
the dash in a alloy ring with what looks like a cut-out groove in it. I
tried unsrewing the disk using a pair of needle nose pliers but it will not
move.
