I've just turned 15K on a new AVP in my '89 Westy-- no problems to date.
It's my understanding that Jerry (Reno, NV) regularly refurbishes his
vehicles with AVP-- and he certainly spoke highly of them at the time we
were looking to purchase our van from him.

One would hope your previous owner paid attention to frequent oil changes
throughout the break-in process, but I wouldn't question the motor in and of
itself.
