The two heater wires should have continuity even with the heater resistance. Do you have a ohm meter handy? When the 02 sensor is in service and warmed up, the 02 wire should be the one producing voltage, .3 to .9 volt, depending on how well your AFM is tweaked and/or other factors. Mark Ingalls 85 GL (with the one wire 02 sensor, I checked it the other day in below freezing weather and it still started producing voltage in less than one minute even without the later style heater) >From: George C Caldwell <george_caldwell@JUNO.COM> >Reply-To: George C Caldwell <george_caldwell@JUNO.COM> >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Re: Inexpensive O2 Sensors - A Suggestion >Date: Mon, 19 Feb 2001 21:15:29 -0500 > >Ok, I'm an idiot - I used the >http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?S1=vanagon page and tried bosch >o2 sensor, ford o2 sensor (and ford sensor; is ford a red herring?) - and >got 37 some postings (since nov 97 - longer time spans gave me cgi >timeouts) , but none that told me which wires go to which. > >It's either the drugs in the 60's, my senior moments, or my add (i'm too >old for adhd) - all of which could be to blame - but could someone give >me a graphic to the info? > >tia > >george _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
