I hear alot of talk of Halon extinguishers here and was wondering if anyone knew where to get one of these. I need one for my Scirocco and my Vanagon. Halon plus fire equals poison gas. Use only in well ventilated area. As in outside. If any magnesium or some aluminum is burning foam is the best. If you van is having an engine fire and the local volunteer fire guys show up with only water, my advice is to get far away. Go to some of the race sites on the web and look at engine compartment fire supression systems. Eckie "Find'em hot leave'em wet."
