Well, I think it's ok for the light at idle right now, since the engine is running hotter that usual (breaking in).. A light at idle is even okay according to the manual. I just desire proper oil pressure while on the road, which I have. I'm going to wait and see.. I don't have the dual system since this is an 84 westy. I'll figure out the digijet thing eventually thanks B >From: John <johnpatt@warwick.net> >Reply-To: johnpatt@warwick.net >To: rangerbrian@HOTMAIL.COM >CC: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> >Subject: Oil pressure warning >Date: Sat, 10 Mar 2001 23:23:56 -0500 > >Hi Brian, > >I just read your latest post about your oil pressure warning without >having read what repairs were performed and why but here is my spin. > >1) You should not be getting a low oil pressure warning at any time with >a newly assembled motor! 15-30W oil is fine for winter and the initial >duty you subjected the motor to.
