Any generic plastic filter would probably work, except there are some
differences in gas line sizes in and out.  I think my '86 had a large line
(10-12 mm?) in and out, but the VW filter I got from Parts Place (boo-hiss)
had a smaller (7mm?)exit line.  I think my '85 is this way?
