OK, I'm sorry for using an non familiar term here.
In "shutting it off" I meant to say he had no more ball's, got scared,
and pulled his lead foot off the throttle, causing the 4x8 sheet of
plywood to decelerate, eliminating the possibility of a catastrophic
occurrence.

I hope this explanation leaves no loopholes, and is phrased so all can
comprehend the gist of the idea that I was attempting to convey. :>)
