My experience has been quite different. Out of a couple hundred Pierburgs
and perhaps half as many Bosch units, I've gotten back 2 Pierburgs and 1
Bosch - which, puts them about equal percentage-wise.  In both cases, this
is a pretty good showing; I'd feel safe recommending either brand. As I said
I kind of like the rubber casing on the Pierburg, but frankly if I were
putting one on my own van I'd just buy whichever was cheaper (usually the
Pierburg by a small margin).
