Hello!
Got an '85 westy with a dead manual transmission. I'm looking for advice on
brands of replacement transmissions - opinions on Rancho, FGA (Fast German
Auto), AA Transaxle, GEX, and GTA (German Transmission).
Wary of used transmissions as most vanagon odometers die at 80,000 miles so
I have no clue as to mileage of transmission.

Any advice/comments appreciated as Westy is sitting dead at repair shop,
who is awaiting transmission . . . .
