yes the passenger side and drivers side trim, I wanted to remove these.
man my hands are all tore up from removing the old dead trim.. hehe

I now want to clean the trim up a bit, what would work the best without
buying some special cleaner.. sos pad and some soap?

if you all are referring to the faded plastic (fake chrome) window trim
inserts, ive removed them all on my '84 van, and have no problem w/ water
leaks or anything.
