Try wiring your inverter directly to your battery. I'm in the process of wiring an inverter to an auxilary battery, and have installed and electrical box with outlets in the top wall of the cabinets over the water tank, between the two doors. This gives me two outlets instead of the one on the inverter, and the inverter is stashed in the cabinet over the water tank, with its outlet available if I need it. deb 85 Westy From: Jeannette and James Hayden <jhayden@THERIVER.COM> Reply-To: Jeannette and James Hayden <jhayden@THERIVER.COM> Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2001 11:13:46 -0700 To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: clarification on batteries and cig lighter hole >James, >Using a power inverter with out using the batteries ? >Hallelujah, and amen. >You have found perpetual motion !! >Where did you get this miracle inverter? > >I Need One !!:>) Clarification: I meant without using batteries in the radio/tape/cd boom-box. In other words, just like plugging it into the wall socket at home. The power inverter uses the battery power of the vehicle and converts it into ac power with a regular socket. James [text/html]
