I have tried timing my van myself with a friend who is a mechanic and done it
correctly according to The Bentley, using a light ect....  But still never
ran correctly.  Brought it to a REALLY good Porsche mechanic who set the
timing using a OScope, and my van has run like a top since.  Did not cost too
much just to have him do that.   Was well worth the 70 bucks I spent for him
to do that and do a few other things.  Just a thought....
