I needed to ship an Engine from Virginia to Sacramento (AVP). What I used was a pallet and about 5 bungie cables purchased at Home Depot. The big black kind that look like large rubber bands. I believe I also wrapped the entire engine in a garbage bag because of leaking fluids. Made it across the country no problem.
