I just recently (1k ago) put a Subaru engine in my syncro.  All has been
well except shifting has been tough.  I have to really push the clutch
pedal to the wall and double clutch to gear down, (even then it scrapes
alittle).   I bled the slave sylinder and there was no change.  The
master does not leak fluid.  The trans has 160k on it amd has a small
leak coming from the right side driveshaft.  I felt the trans after
driving on the freeway and it was hot, is this normal?  I'd like to
check the fluid level and maybe add some more but where is the
filler????  Help!
