Apparently that wonderful plastic gas line that runs through the frame rail to the fuel injection let go, resulting in a full tank of gas being pumped out onto the highway, and leaving me stranded. No gas sprayed around the engine compartment; it all came out in the passenger side rear wheelwell area. How come VW doesn't use metal gas lines like everyone else? > John, Wow, you're right, what a way to start a Monday-pump an ENTIRE tank of fuel out through a cracked line and still be alive to tell about it! I'd say you were pretty da**ed lucky! Many fuel line leaks in these vans result in a burned van, at least. Congrats in coming out with the van and your hide intact. You may find that it was a rubber connecting hose that perished. Contact Ken Wilfy at Van-Again for a kit to replace the rubber connections. Larry
