Lately, there doesn't seem to be a large quality difference -- Jettas (Except the wagon) are made in Puebla as is the New Beetle, Golfs and GTIs come from Brasil, and Passats/Eurovans come from Germany. My Golf was made in Wolfsburg, and I'm glad of it; it's a matter of principle, plus you can't get new Golfs that were made there anymore. (How to tell? The VIN starts with "WVW" if it's from Germany, a 3 if it's from Mexico ... and I forget what the country code is for Brasil.) At 1:28 PM -0700 4/25/01, Aristotle Sagan wrote: >Ah... No. Yes (can I rub Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth PR guys' noses in the fact that VW invented that, the third-door pickup, AND the double-sliding-door van?). No. :) -- ----- Jennifer - ncc876@yahoo.com ... knee-deep in the hoopla ... _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
