Battery shops have a spray product for battery posts. It's red in color and seems to stay soft.

  When disconnecting and cleaning the grounds near in the engine compartment, anyone have suggestions as to what to coat the nicely cleaned contacts with? Is there such a thing to keep good connections, and stop corrosion as well.
