I can tell you why it is missing, that 20% fill valve is a b**ch to get
at with it on.  I've cut away part of that end to make it more
accessible, since it has to be opened fully to fill the tank.  The steel
plate makes it hard to shut with propane spewing out that is freezing
your fingers.

You'll most likely have to something fabricated.
