The Dynamic Oil Pressure control module in my 1985 Jetta failed once. I
replaced the L shaped board in the back of my instrument cluster and this
took care of the problem. Also, you may have a bad pressure sending switch.
On the 1986 and later Vanagons there are two, a high side pressure switch
and low side. If one of them is bad, this can set the buzzer off on the
control module.
