Subject:Heavy red wire in engine compartment

I didn't pull the engine, but I've almost got it back in.  There are two
heavy red wires in the engine compartment.  One goes to the alternator.
Where does the other one go?  I know when I hear the answer to this, I'm
gonna smack myself upside the head, but I could use the info.
