You betcha, you can spend as many hours at this as you can stand! Just stay away from edges and seams, or you will go through the paint real quick. This is my preferred technique since you end up with a beautifully smooth finish with the correct gloss for a car of this period. Clearcoats are too glossy and too easily scratched, and some of the urethane enamels are too glossy for my taste right out of the gun. Have fun! > Paul Borghese wrote: > > Does anyone know if you can wet sand acrylic enamel then use a rubbing > compound to eliminate the orange peel look and runs? > > Paul Borghese -- Stuart MacMillan Seattle '84 Vanagon Westfalia w/2.1 '65 MGB (Daily driver since 1969) '74 MGB GT (Restoring sloooowly) Personal mechanic for: '70 MGB GT (Daughter's) Assisting on Restoration (and spending OPM): '72 MGB GT (Was daughter's, now son's) '64 MGB (Son's) Stripped and gone but their parts live on: '68 MGB, '73 MGB, '67 MGB GT
