My band tours in my '84 GL Van - guitars, amps, drums - all in road cases.
Coolers, merch, luggage and traveling necessities, as well as toolboxes, and
other Van emergency things. And, I guess the band too! Usually three or four
people. I remove the back bench seat and the heater underneath it to
accommodate gear and pack it FULL. Must be over 2000 lbs! On many occasions
it's this configuration and a trailer. A blue streak going 75 to 80 MPH at
roughly 18 MPG somewhere on an interstate near you!
