I have to admit that after reading your subject line I was ready to go out
and check both of my vans to see if they had "rear" headlights...then I saw
you were new to the breed...so I'll back off with the sarcasm.

Your problem sounds normal...the low beam element is gone.

Real low...yes.  Half Qt low...no. Unless you have oil pump/pressure
problems, too.
