Looks like I left some important info out. It's an '87 with almost 93k, 4 speed, not a GL and it's red. The engine and tranny were replaced at ~60k from a used '90 with 30k. It has 15" wheels (South African Vanagon style) with practically new Agilis 205/65's. It is missing front curtain and front table (a friend has already scarfed those pieces.). Otherwise it is original and all working. I haven't used the frig in about 2 years but last time I used it all three modes worked. Hopefully this helps. - C. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of Charlie Moore Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2001 9:44 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Westy totaled in Seattle Hi, I thought you all might have some ideas for me. My Westy got totaled while parked in front of my house. The drivers side rear corner body is folded. Amazingly, the engine is fine, although the left engine mount is bent. The rear hatch is toast and the rear-most cabinet is busted up beyond use. Other than that the van is in good shape. Due to strange circumstances the insurance company is giving me the van. A local recycler offered me $700. I figured there has got to be more than $700 worth of vehicle here. My problem is I don't have the time or space to part out the van myself. Given my limitations am I left with only the local recyclers? TIA, - Charlie. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
