What a royal pain in the ass.  Be thankful you didn't go to Pep Boys for the
work.  Since $ears is paying the tab, you have to go with a 100% VW factory
replacement part.  You might also ask them to make out the check to you.
Then you can put the check into an escrow account until your tank starts
leaking.  At that point, you probably will have enough to buy a new hydrogen
powered 2025 Retro Vanagon.
