I just installed a set of 5.25" Sony Speakers facing downwards from the fwd
corners of the AC Cabinet, I bought the speakers with separate tweaters so
that they could fit on the front of the cabinet. The woofers just fit and I
found the results pretty good until some jerk decided he liked my new
stereo enough to keep it for himself. I covered the inside if the speakers
with insulation to try and keep from vibrating loose AC stuff when
listening to the tunes. The biggest problem I had was running a separate
lead from the front of the van through the roof to eliminate the VW common
ground. Good luck and measure carefully as it is a tight fit.
