The Air Fuel Meter only tells the ECU how much air is going into the engine
(and intake air temp.). Thats all it does. The ECU does not tell the AFM
how far to open.
The propane fuel system does not use the digifant ECU at all (except for
spark). So the van does not need the AFM at all when running on propane. I
can have the AFM pinned open or normally spring loaded, it does not matter
to the propane system. That is how I can test whether there is any
difference between the two. If there is a difference, I can't tell.

The throttle plate (butterfly) is still needed for propane operation.
