Brian.  Thanks for the info.  However, I can't see that working for me
because I'm wondering if the pump itself is broken.  It makes no noise at
all.  It used to be that before I ever filled the water tank, you could hear
the pump running dry.  Now, it just doesn't even hum at all.  Water or no
water.  Any other suggestions?

I had the same problem last weekend after filling the tank for the first time
this season. Outside water worked fine, yet nothing from the tank. I drained
the tank nearly to the bottom, tried it for a bit with no luck, fully emptied
it, filled it half way again and presto it worked. The manual says sometimes
air bubles get in there and stop the flow.
