Hi Dan,

I did that repair a couple of weeks ago, and called Bilstein with the same
question.  The parts you mention are not used with the vanagon (at least not
on my '91).

Thanks to all listmembers who shared their experiences with new shocks.  I
went with the Bilsteins and love them.  It's like driving a new van.
