Matt,

You are not crazy, but I am starting to feel that you are screwed.  You made
2 tactical errors: you should have presented them with a bill for all the
damaged parts plus labor and the cost of a rental car.  That would have given
them something of which to chisel away while leaving you more nearly whole.
Secondly, you are dealing way too low on the feeding chain.
