Is it possible that number three valve(s) are adjusted too much, and are not
closing fully?
I had this problem last month when I replaced heads on a friend's WBX. We
adjusted to the early 2 turns per adjuster, instead of the later style
lifter's 1/2 turn setting.
it would barely run.
