Hello all-
I'm in a quandary as to whether or not to repair the original air-conditioning system on my 1984 Vanagon.  I keep hearing conflicting reports on the effectiveness of the system even at full efficiency.  It has not functioned since I owned the vehicle, so I don't know what I'm missing.  If there are any list members in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex who have a Vanagon with a functional original a/c system (mine is the type that is located just behind the driver and passenger), who are willing to let me see firsthand how well (or not) it works, please contact me ASAP.
