Howdy list,

Thanks to everyone who has been sending funds to support the purchase of a
new server to host our list. Thanks to your generous contributions, we now
have about $650 in the fund.

The latest tally is at:

http://gerry.vanagon.com/info/donations.html

I'm hoping that we can get together a little over $1000 to purchase a server
that will speed up the system, especially the painfully slow web-archive
searches! So, if you can spare a few $$$ this month, it would be greatly
appreciated. I expect to purchase the hardware right before the end of the
month.

If you would like to donate, you can send a check to the address listed on
the donations page (see link above), or use PayPal and send money to
"vanagon-request@gerry.vanagon.com".

Oh, and for those of you who have already used PayPal, could you also send a
follow-up message indicating what city and state you are from? I want to be
sure to properly document the donations.

Thanks again,
Your Vanagon list admin,
TomC
