In an effort to extract the last bit of performance from that marvel of Teutonic precision engineering (no, not a Pfaff sewing machine), I checked the fuel system pressure of my 2.1L today. If the truth be known, I was changing plugs and it seemed to be easy to do. I found the pressure at idle was 34 PSI with vacuum and 40 PSI without. After shutting down the engine, the pressure dropped to 30 PSI and stayed there. Now, the Bentley calls for pressures of APPROXIMATELY 29 PSI and 36 PSI, respectively, with an at rest pressure of 29-36 PSI. Since the system held pressure within the range specified, I would think that the regulator is still good, just a little high on the setpoints. Does anyone know what kind of tolerance to expect for the regulated pressure? Rich
