While trying to repair a blown out coolant hose (top rear of engine
compartment) I noticed that these hoses as well as the ones leading to the
tranny cooler were coated with gunk, as is the top of the tranny forward of
the opening between the transmission and engine.  Where would this leak
likely be and how costly is it to fix?  And, yes, I have had to top up the
tranny fluid about once a month.
