Greetings Mendcino Redwood Campers!
Here's how you *quickly/easily*  reach Hendy Woods:

1.  From Bay Area take 101 North to Cloverdale
2.  At Cloverdale, take last exit:  Hy 128 West
3.  Follow Hy 128 about 40 minutes to Philo.
4.  Left turnoff to Hendy Woods State Park is approx 3 miles west of Philo.
5.  From turnoff, park is approx 1/4 mile up past turnoff from Hy 128.
*Watch for deer on road on Hy 128!  Go slow & watch carefully.

Last "cheap" gas is in Cloverdale, so fill up.
The *Texaco station at south end of town has good, cheap, authentic
Mexican food!  Good place to gas & grub!
After Cloverdale, gas is higher.
Cloverdale has a big *supermarket within sight of Texaco station--
If you're arriving late on Fri, better ice up & get supplies, since the
tiny hamlets past Cloverdale shut early.

I am bringing a big Webber BBQ grill & lots of charcoal to share.
So if you plan on chicken, ribs, etc--we can grill on the Webber.
Remember, evenings are cool, so dress in layers & warm bedding.
