Short piece of hacksaw.

Wrap the end with tape or hold it with a rag so you don't cut your fingers
instead of the bearing.

Major PITA.

Subject: Can't remove pilot bearing

I'm in the process of doing a rebuild on my 1.9 wasserleaker and removing
the old remains of the pilot bearing from the crankshaft is giving me fits.I
tried prying, but that got me nowhere. I even went so far as to buy the
pilot bearing puller from Baum Tool, and that just slips off. I resorted to
a hammer and chisel, and that just took the top rim off the old shell, but
it's really stuck in there. Any other suggestions before I start reaching
for the drill?
