So... when I hear the big ultra-sonic *BOOM* I will know that it is only ANOTHER bus breaking the sound barrier. *Whew* what a relief. I mean... if ANYTHING other than a stock GL was breaking the sound barrier and getting less than 714mpg, I'd be a *little* worried. ;) I'd be interested to get those higher end gears to see if I could manage the speed of light- but I'd hate to leave you all behind in the time warp. happy Friday... ...time to rest. I'm planning on breaking the sound barrier tomorrow, just need to reinforce the windshield so it doesn't pop in and take my head off. :) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Benjamin Tan" <BenTbtstr8@AOL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, June 29, 2001 3:50 PM Subject: Re: 91 Vanagon GL Top Speed? > In a message dated 6/29/01 12:34:45 PM Pacific Daylight Time, > korkwood@SURFREE.COM writes: > > << Keep dreaming because i must know what "converted" engine propels your > 87GL to > such velocities.
