Hi, I have 2 Syncros as daily drivers. One is a Westy and I routinely drive on trips @ 80-85. I can usually expect 18.5 mpg. BTW: One has 185,000 and the other has 275,000 miles on them. I don't consider that too bad for a "poorly designed" engine. Mark
