Some of you know that I have a 400 watt Air 403 wind turbine that I occasionally use on my 85 Westy when I am dry camping. It's an unusual rig, to say the least.

Well, yesterday, I happened to see an 85 Vanagon (same color as my Westy) with a for sale sign in the window parked beside a local tv shop less than a mile and a half from my house. As I stopped for a closer look, my gaze shifted to a pole mounted on the building along side the van. And there at the top of the pole was.... an Air 403 wind turbine! Hmmm.... What's the cosmic significance of this?

BTW... The vanagon is for sale -- $300. I'd buy it if I had a place to keep it. It's been in a flood and the engine and transmission are pretty well shot.
