engine (1.9 ltr engine)":   With the metal head gasket (since 11/93)
they tighten in 4 stages.  Stage 1 40 Nm, stage 2 60 Nm, stage 3 a 90�
turn, and stage 4 a 90� turn.  All stages in the proper sequence.  No
further tightening after engine warm-up or after 1000 miles.  Multiply
Nm by about .7 to get ft.lbs.
