There are about 100 different variations on the water tank key. I've made 7 or 8 in the last week. My suggestion would be to remove the outer filler from the van, remove the fill hose, and remove the nut holding the lock together. Take the cap off and reassemble both the lock and the filler. Temporarily use a rubber cork to plug the filler. Send the lock and a key can be generated for it. Chances of someone else having the same key are about 1 in 100, as I said. The reason the gas caps seem to be keyed alike is wear. Their guts are plastic, and grooves wear in tham allowing them to be turned with most any key. It's not that they are keyed alike, contrary to other posts. If you need more information, feel free to contact me directly.
