Alan,

Could be and easily enough checked.  Hook a gauge to the fuel system and see
if the rest pressure is maintained.  If you don't have a gauge handy and if
you don't chain smoke, pull the injectors and to see what the are doing and
check if they are dripping  when you shut down the fuel pump.  Before
anything, go back to basics and make sure you have decent compression and are
getting good spark.
